Global Power Design Impact Initiative

DISCOVHERY Attribution & Power Literacy:
A global, community-led humanity project.

The record we inherit is incomplete. Women’s contributions to science, technology, governance, medicine, law, business, media, the arts, care, culture, and public life have been buried, misattributed, absorbed, minimized, or recognized too late. When that happens, society loses more than individual recognition. It loses knowledge, precedent, possibility, and a fuller understanding of how progress actually happens.

The pattern is global. At the current pace, full gender parity is 123 years away, and no economy has yet achieved it. Women remain significantly underrepresented among the world’s most highly cited researchers across continents and scientific fields. Attribution, recognition, and the long memory of contribution are not closing on their own.

DISCOVHERY is The BIIRGS impact initiative for attribution and power literacy. Through an anthropological lens, applied across cultures, regions, and contexts, it examines how power operates through citation, silence, storytelling, public memory, and narrative authority. It helps people, communities, and organizations correct the record society carries forward.

POWER IS A TOOL.

What power does depends on who is entrusted to exercise it, the values that guide its use, and the structures that hold it accountable – including who is remembered, credited, and trusted to shape what comes next.

How DISCOVHERY works

Full gender parity is 123 years away at the current global pace (WEF, 2025). DISCOVHERY operates across three interconnected planes designed to shorten that distance.

  • An evidence base Research briefings that document attribution gaps, decision power, institutional memory, narrative authority, and the structural patterns that produce misrecognition.

  • Applied public tools Resource guides and toolkits designed for classrooms, communities, newsrooms, cultural institutions, and organizations seeking to examine how power operates in their own context.

  • A licensable framework Structured engagement pathways for institutions applying DISCOVHERY at scale across decision architecture, institutional memory, narrative authority, and accountability.
