THE BIIRGS • DISCOVHERY CAMPAIGNS
Institutions shape what becomes part of the record. DISCOVHERY® examines how — and what that process leaves out.
DISCOVHERY® Campaigns translate research on attribution, omission, and institutional memory into licensed public-impact work for organizations shaping the records we inherit and carry forward.
What is a DISCOVHERY® Campaign?
A DISCOVHERY® Campaign is a licensed application of BIIRGS-owned research and framework on attribution, omission, institutional memory, power literacy, and recognition.
Each campaign examines how recognition is made: who is credited, who is omitted, whose expertise is trusted, whose contributions become part of the record, and how institutions carry memory forward.
Licensing governs the use of the DISCOVHERY® mark, campaign architecture, core framing, evidence base, attribution standards, and approved materials. It ensures that every campaign carrying the name is grounded in verified research, designed with care, and aligned to the initiative's purpose: strengthening how societies credit, remember, and build.
THE DISCOVHERY® CAMPAIGN STANDARD
®
®
Every licensed campaign carrying the DISCOVHERY® mark is governed by a research-led standard.
Campaign claims must be grounded in verified evidence. Contributions must be named with care. Attribution must be handled as accountability, not presentation. And campaign design must build power literacy: helping audiences understand how recognition, authority, authorship, omission, and public memory are shaped, and how records are carried forward.
The standard exists to protect the integrity of the work, the communities it concerns, and the record itself.
Who DISCOVHERY® Campaigns are for
DISCOVHERY® Campaigns are designed for institutions, platforms, and partners whose work shapes public, cultural, educational, or organizational memory.
DISCOVHERY® is not a public awareness campaign model. It is a governed application of research on attribution, omission, recognition, and institutional memory, for organizations prepared to examine how recognition is made: whose contributions are named, whose expertise is trusted, what records are preserved, and what forms of omission continue to shape the story.
Campaign suitability is determined by the recognition question being examined, the audience being engaged, and the organization's capacity to activate the work responsibly.
Licensing and stewardship
DISCOVHERY® is a protected initiative of The BIIRGS. Use of the DISCOVHERY® name, mark, campaign concepts, materials, language, frameworks, or methodology requires written approval.
Stewardship of the mark is how the initiative safeguards the research, the standard, and the communities whose contributions the work exists to recognize. Licensing is the pathway through which aligned organizations activate DISCOVHERY® responsibly.

Start a DISCOVHERY® Campaign Inquiry
Campaigns are developed through structured inquiry with The BIIRGS. The process begins by clarifying the recognition question your campaign seeks to examine: whose contributions are being surfaced, what record is being revisited, which audiences are being engaged, and how the work should strengthen credit, memory, trust, and accountability.
Initial campaigns are being developed with a limited number of founding partners. The DISCOVHERY® Campaign Prospectus, covering licensing, campaign standards, application pathways, and stewardship of the mark, is shared with qualified inquiries.
