Pathways to Engage outlines how individuals, organizations, and institutions can access BIIRGS research and resources, apply insights in practice, or collaborate through programming, research, and dialogue.
IINVIRONMENT™ applies environmental psychology to the conditions that shape climate-related behavior. The initiative focuses on the environments, systems, and everyday decisions that influence whether knowledge becomes action.
WHERE THE WORK STANDS
Awareness of environmental challenges is growing, but awareness alone does not determine behavior. The environments and systems in which decisions are made can either support climate action or make it difficult to sustain.

Three Pathways
People, organizations, and institutions engage with this work in different ways. The pathways below outline the principal routes of engagement, from open-access resources to commissioned work and joint programming and research.

Civic Resource Hub
Through the IINVIRONMENT Civic Resource Hub, individuals, communities, and organizations can access research briefings, practical guides, and public learning materials on environmental psychology and climate action. The resources connect environmental knowledge with everyday decisions, organizational practice, and the conditions that make action possible.

APPLIED
Commissioned Work
Commissioned work applies environmental psychology to the organizational and social conditions that shape climate-related behavior. Engagement may support behavior-informed action across culture, operations, procurement, communications, leadership, governance, and accountability.

PARTNERSHIP
Joint Programming & Research
Joint programming and research connect environmental psychology with the sectors and communities shaping climate action. The Institute works with partners on public programs, convenings, and research exploring how environments and systems can support more sustainable, resilient, and adaptive futures.

Corporate Client Consulting Services
Our corporate consulting services help organizations navigate complex challenges by addressing the underlying psychological and relational factors that impact performance, resilience, and employee engagement. We partner with leadership teams to identify systemic barriers—such as power imbalances, communication silos, and inequitable structures—and design tailored interventions that drive cultural transformation, foster innovation, and enhance organizational health at scale.
