What is DISCOVHERY?

DISCOVHERY is a public benefit initiative focused on the design of power and on making that design more visible to communities, institutions, and the wider public.

Originating in the documented exclusion of women from institutional memory, narrative authority, and decision-making power, DISCOVHERY examines how power is structured, distributed, exercised, remembered, recorded, interpreted, and held accountable. It asks who is recognized as a contributor, whose interpretation becomes part of the record, whose harm is believed, documented, and addressed, and whose futures remain possible.

The work is grounded in an anthropological lens. Power is not an attribute of individuals; it is a property of systems — distributed across rules, roles, records, rituals, and routines. What an institution remembers, who it credits, and how it decides are designed outcomes. And what is designed can be redesigned.

Decision parity without narrative authority is invisible. Narrative authority without decision power is performance. Lasting parity requires both.

DISCOVHERY extends across business, public institutions, and community life. It is sector-agnostic by design, with sector-calibrated application for media, sport, music, public sector, academia, cultural institutions, and enterprise. Its purpose is not to assign blame for the past but to build the literacy, the standards, and the structural accountability needed to do better — durably, visibly, and together.

The framework in brief

The framework operates on two structural instruments: the four tiers at which power operates, and the three pillars that DISCOVHERY restructures.
